Grave Glovewort 5: Where to Find the Glovewort 5 and the Best Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring Game

If you are a fan of action fantasy RPG Playstation games, you have probably encountered Grave Glovewort 5 in the Elden Ring game. It is one of the most captivating upgrade materials used in a game, with a fantastic storyline, characters, profound background graphics, and multiple PvP modes.

The upgrade allows players to summon spirits to help them win the game. These spirits can be in the form of lone wolves, demi-humans, or pumpkin heads. However, you must level up and find the hidden upgrade material to summon your spirit allies.

But where do you find the Glovewort? We have prepared a detailed insight into where you can discover Glovewort level 5 and how to use it to summon your spirit allies when the levels start getting rougher and rougher.

But first!

What is Glovewort 5?

It is a pale white glowing flower upgrade material used to summon spirit allies. The flower is hidden in different locations in the game. To find it, you will need to level up by fighting other opponents. Once you get it, you are required to obtain the Spirit-Calling Bell, usually found with Renna the Witch. She will greet you the first time you visit the Church of Elleh.

Apart from that, you will also need to find an NPC known as Roderkica. You can find her at the Stormhill Shack in West Limgrave. She will ask you to complete her quest before she can upgrade your spirit ashes. The quest is quite simple. You will need to retrieve the Chrysalid’s Memento found inside the Stormveil Castle.

Note that two types of Glovewort are used in the Elden Ring game. You can either choose to go with the Ghost Glovewort or the Grave Glovewort. Ghost Glovewort is mainly used to upgrade the more powerful spirit ashes, while the Grave Glovewort is used to upgrade the normal ashes.

Where to Find the Glolvewort 5 in Elden Ring

Some of the places you can get the Glovewort include the Siofra River walkthrough or in the Deeproot Depths area. When looking at the Siofra River, you can access it using the waygate towards the area where the Dragonkin Soldier is located. You can also find up to five Grave Gloveworts in the Deeproot Depths area. Here are the locations of the five Grave Gloveworts:

  • First– This can be found at the waterfall- somewhere near a wall.
  • Second– It will be in the bushes near the Teardrop Scarab.
  • Third– You won’t need to go far to find the third one. It can be found behind the ruins.

Other locations include the Nokron, Eternal City, that is located in ruins submerged in the water, and the Sainted Hero’s Grave. If you have Runes to spare, you can purchase the bolstering material from a merchant. However, some conditions should be met before the Grave Glovewort 5 can be unlocked for purchase.

How to Purchase Grave Glovewort 5

For Glovewort to be available for purchase at the Roundtable Hold, you are required to collect specific ball bearings first. Here is a detailed step-by-step guide on how to go about it:

Step #1: Go to the Moutaintops of Giants

Also known as the late-game area, the Mountaintops of Giants is one of the few levels before meeting the final boss. To get there, you are required to progress all through the Leyndell until you meet the Omen King, Margott.

After defeating Margott, walk up to the Erdtree to see its thorns for the first time, where Melina will give you the Rold Madallion. You can then proceed to the Great Lift of Rold found at the Forbidden Lands. It is typically a misty road accessed from the eastern side of the Altus Plateau.

Step #2: Look for the Picker’s Bell Bearing in the Giant’s Mountaintop

You will encounter the jar-headed miniboss spilling magma and a group of Fire Monks just before the vast chain bridge. You can fight them or drop down the right side of the short ramp leading to the chain bridge. You will see the Catacombs of the Giant Mountaintop embedded on its Cliffside.

At the far end of the dungeon, you will encounter an Ulcerated Tree Spirit. Challenge it to a dual and ensure you win to get the Picker’s Bell Bearing.

Step #3: Give the Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks

To unlock the Grave Glovewort 5 for purchase, you will need your Picker’s Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks. These husks can be found after the study room of Sir Gideon Ofnir and before you reach the Dung Eater’s room.

Ensure you are keen enough because the rooms are enshrouded in darkness and can be easy to miss. Give the Bell Bearings to the Twin Maiden Husks to automatically unlock new inventories.

Step #4: Purchase Glovewort 5 and enjoy the game

Whether playing Eden Ring on PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, or Xbox One, you can purchase Grave Glovewort and other upgrades. You can buy the ashes in the Roundtable Hold for 4800 Runes.

What are the Best Spirit Ashes in the Elden Ring?

There are around 64 spirit ashes in Elden Ring, which makes it quite hard to make the right choice. To help you make the right choice, we have compiled a list of the top 5 Spirit Ashes with their location below:

Mimic Tear

As the name suggests, the Mimic Tear Spirit Ash is like a shadow of you in battle. This spirit helps you by mirroring your every move. Its mimicry abilities make it one of the best- if not the best battle ally. Technically, it allows you to tailor its abilities to suit battle needs. If you want to get your hands on the Mimic Tear Ashes, you will be required to venture into the Sacred Ground west of the Nokron.

You can start from the Ancestral Woods located in the Site of Grace, jump from rooftops in the southwest direction, and pass through the Silver Tear enemies. There, you will find an area with a skeletal throne. After beating the Imp Statue, proceed and take up the Mimic Tear Ashes. You can unlock the chest behind it using a Stonesword Key.

Black Knife Tiche

Second on our list is the Black Knife Tiche spirit. It is the offspring of the popular Black Knife Ringleader Alecto. She is one of the best spirits who can be a formidable and valuable battle ally. You can get your hands on her Ashes by defeating Alecto, the Black Knife Ringleader, in the Ringleader’s Evergaol in Liurnia of the Lakes.

Access the Moonlight Altar plateau, defeat Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, and locate the Evergaol in the northwest corner. After defeating Alecto, make sure you have enough Focus Points or use an Opaline Bubbletear to negate FP consumption temporarily.

Latenna the Albinauric

Latenna, a unique Spirit Ash, starts as an NPC and transforms into a summonable spirit. Her stationary but strong DPS can be a formidable weapon when strategically deployed. To get the Latenna’s Ashes, talk with Albus. He can be found in the Albinaurics Village. You will also be required to defeat the Perfumer.

Ride to the pot near the tomb and look for Albus. After obtaining the Haligtree Medallion from him, proceed to Crystal Cave, that is located on Liurnia shores. Convince Latenna to join you as a Spirit Ash capable of being summoned.

Lhutel the Headless

Lhutel the Headless is yet another spirit that resembles a Mausoleum Knight. It is a powerful summon with several combat styles suitable for various playstyles. You can get Lhutel’s Ashes by vanquishing the Cemetery Shade at the end of Tombsward Catacombs. Find the catacombs north of the Minor Erdtree on the Weeping Peninsula in Limgrave.

After doing so, proceed to the dungeon, unlock the boss arena, and automatically defeat the Cemetery Shade to receive these Ashes.

Greatshield Soldiers

These ashes are not called “great” for no reason. The Greatshield Soldier’s Ashes are the ultimate ashes that summon the Greatshield Soldier spirits. It can be the best ally, ideal for spellcasters and glass cannon builds that require strong defenders.

These Ashes can be found in a graveyard south of the Nokron area in the Eternal City. Even so, be prepared to challenge enemies as you go. Some enemies you should expect include the formidable Fallen Hawks with its magical Ghostflame. But, despite the obstacles, these Ashes are a valuable addition for magic-heavy characters, even at the game’s outset.
